The Shack is by far the best book I’ve read in a long time. Although I will admit that the beginning was rather long and at times tedious. “For a moment there I thought the author needed to reach a word count goal or something.” Nevertheless, as the story went on all of those little nuggets the author dropped along the way came together. ”The story unfolded brilliantly!”
The Shack is a work of fiction, but the overall message is very real. I believe God ordained William Paul Young to tell the story this way. I cannot recall an inspirational author who captures the essence of having a personal relationship with God the way Mr. Young has.
The need to commune with God on a daily basis has been instilled into my heart over the years. However, Mr. Young has presented that same need in a captivating manner which makes me want to run to God and never let go of Him.
In relatable words and a beautiful story about relationships, trust and forgiveness, the author was able to turn a tragedy into a journey of healing old and fresh wounds.
The Shack is a book I highly recommend as it will challenge your relationships, your belief system and leave you craving for a freedom-filled life that only God can give.
Kudos to Mr. Young as he did an exceptional job of bringing home what it truly means to allow God to live in and through you.
P.S., if you have already read “The Shack,” please post your comments. I would love to hear your thoughts and opinions.
Great read a warning should come with this book ” This book maybe dangerous and offensive to the overly
religious ,naive and baby christians please consult your bible before you read this book”. The keyword to remember as you read “The Shack” is fiction it is a book of fiction nothing more and nothing less. I am not a fan of fiction but every now and then a good read comes along in this genre and “The Shack ” is a must read.
