“First Date No-No’s”

Dating Couple2“Rules, who invented them anyway?” There are rules for everything even in dating. Times may have changed but the rules are pretty much the same from when our parents dated. Ladies you know if we were told to let the man take the lead on our dates, this advice was worth adhering to. So as a friendly reminder, the next time you’re asked out on a “first” date, here are some rules you might want to consider.

Rule #1 Don’t make suggestions; let him be in charge.

Now I know you might think it’s okay to make suggestions for your first date, after all it’s just an innocent gesture. You should resist this temptation and let him be in charge. Some men do this to feel you out. Others are insecure in making plans because they are afraid you might not like them. Be that as it may, let him follow through on his request to take you out.

Rule #2 Don’t pay for the meal.

It has been said that there’s nothing wrong with going dutch on the first date. However contrary to popular belief, most men are more concerned that he can please you rather than spending extra money on a meal. The fact that he has asked you out is evident that you’ve made an impression on him. So don’t worry about being noble.

Rule #3 Don’t have sex with him.

The quickest way to ruin a potentially good relationship is to give in to sex too soon. A wise woman knows that the more a man invests in something, the more he values it. When a man conquers something, he moves on to something else. Once the chase has ended, he becomes bored.

So ladies when you’re asked out on a “first” date consider the rules. They are put in place for our benefit. Just think you could be well on your way to building a great relationship. ե
